Markie Mayes is an emerging hip-hop and R&B artist from Columbus, known for her moody, vibey sound rooted in 90s–2000s inspired production. Blending nostalgic textures with modern R&B and melodic hip-hop, she creates music that feels both intimate and cinematic — balancing smooth delivery with bold, emotionally honest storytelling.

Her sound bridges modern soul with a throwback aesthetic, drawing on atmospheric, late-night energy and relatable experiences centered around love, independence, and self-reflection.

With releases such as Lemme See and her 2025 EP 961 N 4th, Markie continues to build a growing catalog defined by authenticity and mood-driven production.

In March 2026, she was selected from over 500 submissions in a week-long TikTok and Instagram song submission contest judged by DRAM and Ellis Quinn, earning placement consideration on DRAM’s No BS Album. Following the selection, she was invited to perform her winning record alongside DRAM in Atlanta during his “Unreleased” showcase.
